60 Seconds Wasted

Who else thinks that "60 Seconds Left" on the Pitchfork website blows?

In this little video segment that Pitchfork has, they take several bands and capture them doing this n that in 60 seconds. And it's SO BORING! Who cares if some twit with a nice video camera gets to hang out with musicians to make "artistic" minute long snooze-fests? I don't. Artists that I love and am genuinely intrigued by are boring me!

Wanna watch St. Vincent string a guitar? Nah, she's got tons of other pretty videos if I feel like girl crushing.  Plus I can't watch that dude do yoga in the background for more than 4 seconds.
Wanna watch Tyler the Creator barf on the cement? Absolutely not.
Wanna watch my beloved George Lewis Jr. of Twin Shadow make out with some chick? No! He's gay! And it was too intimate in a loving and non-porny way that unfortunately made me feel uncomfortable.
Here's a good one, lets watch Cults take a fuckin nap.
I watched more of these than I had wanted to, to write this post. The only one that I found to be entertaining was of Warpaint, because they were actually having a fun old-school jam singalong and not pretending to be artistic by crappily running down the street with some camera dude (italicized because I'm saying it with disgust) chasing her like the one featuring Zola Jesus. Which I will not show because it is too boring.
Come on, Pitchfork, these videos are not interesting or artistic.  Merely having footage of musicians is not enough to earn my (and hopefully others) 'spect.  Don't waste or abuse your capability to hang out with musicians on this shit, and don't waste 60 seconds of my time once a week.  AKAY?
