Before this blog post ended up sad I was going to title it "Are You There, Terry? It's Me, 101"

Farewell Transmission
In one article I just found out that Songs: Ohia and Magnolia Electric Co. singer and creator Jason Molina had a serious problem with alcohol and that he passed away two days ago because of it. Songs: Ohia is a band that I've listen to for years, it was on the mixtape that changed a lot of things for me, and I still listen to them on the regular. Although I thought Magnolia Electric Co. was Neutral Milk Hotel and vice versa because I got the CD's at the same time and fucked up putting them on my computer, I still loved their album Trials and Errors and would listen to it in my room in Victoria. Neither of Molina's bands have put out anything recent that I've listened to but his death is a huge loss in the music world. If you haven't had at least a crush on The Magnolia Electric Co. (that's the album title) by Songs: Ohia then you need to take a time out and do some catching up. RIP.
